The YES program provides full scholarships for an academic year of living and studying in the U.S to a select group of Egyptian teenagers. Students live with host families, attend high school, engage in school and community activities, and volunteer with local organizations. They learn about American society and values while helping to educate Americans about the customs and culture of their homelands. The YES program focuses on leadership and works with these students during the school year to develop their leadership skills. YES students are selected in an open, merit-based selection process. Intercultural Language Summer Camp (4weeks)( $3000)

Program Description:
This program fosters the development of personal, linguistic and intercultural skills. We will focus on the following:
- Spanish language competence (3 levels: beginner, intermediate, advanced)
- Intercultural competence
- Confidence building activities
- Personal growth
- Team building activities
- Cultural awareness
- Sport
Also several discussion groups will be proposed during these days where your opinion is important. Topics may be: freedom, career, religion, materialism, alcohol abuse, respect and independence.
The effort in participating in those activities together with your fellows from other countries is what will make your experience special and unique. If you are ready to show concern for other people, to be open to new ideas and different customs, to be tolerant, eager to learn, look, listen and make yourself understood, then you are halfway there.
Still, many things will be different and new. One month is a short time but if you are patient and understanding you will gain a lot. Please ask when you have any doubts. This booklet is a first introduction to our country and gives some helpful hints about how to deal with various matters. Read it very carefully and do not stop here! Find other sources of information, investigate. The more you get to know about our culture, the more you'll enjoy it.

In addition to daily Spanish lessons (60 hours – 3 hrs per day), listed below are some of the visits in Málaga City we may offer during the stay:

Bullfighting and flamenco do not begin to summarize Spain’s rich complexity. The country has four languages, seven dialects and 17 autonomías—political regions, each with its own government, budget, and cultural ministry. Spaniards, in fact, often feel deeper allegiance to their region’s cultural traditions, political issues, lifestyle and cuisine than they do to those of Spain as a whole. Spanish terrain is as varied as the country’s regional cultures—from cloud-raking Pyrenees to Andalusian deserts to sybaritic beaches. Among the few generalities that hold true for most Spaniards: they’re proud, dignified, generous, and happy in crowds, whether at festivals, strolling in plazas or cheering at soccer matches—as well as at bullfights.
